DESCRIPTION:
Reproduction Seth Thomas Violin Clock with 8 day spring driven lyre time and strike, movement in a nicely crafted late 20th century walnut case. The movement, damascened pendulum bob and cathedral gong are original 1880's Seth Thomas parts.
CONDITION:
The well made case is in excellent condition and is an outstanding copy of the original. The old period dial pan has a new paper dial. The "ST" hands are new as is the tablet. This reproduction is the quality of those made by E. N. Harvell of Asheboro, NC and referenced by Tran Duy Ly's "Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements", 3rd Edition, Vol. 2, pp. 746-749. Ht 311/4".
